Anne, Countess of Newburgh

St Richard's first church was endowed by The Dowager Countess of Newburgh, and also by two serving women. She lived from 1763 until 1861 and saw the exciting yet exacting years of persecution and emancipation. Her life and times, and the progressive changes in the Catholic church in England, are shown on the pdf.
