Parish Coordinating Group

Canon Kieron has established a coordinating group to strengthen the liturgical, pastoral and social life of the communities which come under the overall pastoral care of Chichester.

Members: Canon Kieron O'Brien (Chair), Geoff Breeze, Kathy Campbell, Fran Chapman, Simon Davenport, Jenny Edwards, Ged Lavery, Dot Leaver, Susan Line, Lena Finn (secretary).

Their role is to take initiatives, deciding in which order projects need to be carried out, keeping in touch with the Deanery and Diocesan support structures and where possible, acting ecumenically - building on the work done in the Parish for some years.

After discussion with the church groups, it's been decided that membership will be - the Parish Clergy, two representatives from Our Lady of the Assumption, Bosham, two representatives from St Peter's at the Witterings. Two - four representatives from St Richards's Chichester. Membership can be expanded if additional parochial responsibilities are given us.

To ensure a succession of new members with fresh thinking, the normal term of office will be three years - arranged to allow for continuity.

Members will meet not less than six, and not more than ten times a year. To start with, Father Kieron will chair the meetings, but there will be an elected chair when the group is well underway .

Other parishioners may be coopted onto the group as and when necessary.

The minutes and other news of the group will be available on this website.

Canon Kieron added "I'm delighted with the enthusiasm of the group, which is generating good ideas and finding the means to achieve their aims."

The parish Co-ordinating Group has representatives from each church. Their minutes can be downloaded as pdf files. They will be shown with year first, then month, then date, and are available below.

The Minutes are on pdf format, which needs you to have a program such as Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to open it. You may well have this program already. If not, you can download it free from Adobe's own website.
